Won’t You Be My Neighbor – Nashville, Tennessee

By RetroRuth

Thanks to our good friend MidModMichelle who posted this adorable house on her Instagram, MidTennMod! If you want to check out her Instagram, you can see it here.

This house is located at 3144 Crosswood Drive in Nashville, Tennessee. It has two bedrooms and one bathroom and is just over 1,000 square feet. It was built in 1957 and the asking price is $235,000. It is being listed by Braden Land, and you can see the listing on Zillow here. From the listing:

This Donelson ranch is a time capsule of mid-century charm on a beautiful lot over half an acre and on a cul-de-sac. Impeccably maintained, only the second owner and all the original charm intact. Double-pane replacement windows, new deck on the back, HVAC under 5 years with new motor and warranty, roof just over 5 years, brand new water heater.

So, what do you think?  What is your favorite detail?

I love the knotty pine kitchen and dining area. It just needs some pink or turquoise appliances to be complete! I also really like the furniture in the living room.

I love the paint treatment on the garage door and the shape of the bathroom cabinet.

I’ve seen this sweet house in person and it’s even better up close. It’s immaculate and so well preserved. It’s got a really cool, classic Nashville backstory too that the buyer should love. I hope that someone buys it who will retain the charm.

It could be used as that but I think it’s only one room with no bath or anything. It’s a studio/office currently.

I like the magazine rack on the toilet side of the sink vanity! I do wonder if the bathroom floor is original, though. Doesn’t seem to go with the grey and black wall tile? Love the kitchen, too, and it does cry out for turquoise appliances. Wouldn’t it be fun to know what it had originally?
