Laundry Room

So, what do you think?  Terrazzo flooring? Parquet flooring? That great room? I adore this place. With some paint and wood refinishing this house would be so amazing. You gotta pull up all the carpet, though. Oh, and pull down all the curtains. But I adore all the colored bathrooms with the little glass fronted cabinets, and you know I am a huge sucker for built-ins. Plus, that laundry room has pink countertops. I’m totally in.

I can’t believe the price. That size in California for less than a million??

Those bathrooms look awesomely packed with original built in 60s wonderfulness- such as the built in scale in the blue bath wall. Always having been a lover of MCM design, I was once not a lover of pink and blue baths but NPR has turned me on to their splendor. It’s refreshing to see an MCM in California especially that hasn’t so far had white paint slathered on the wood ceilings, fireplace, and kitchen cabinets. I this home is ultimately headed for a gut job but meanwhile I am thankful its original bones have been captured here.
