Won’t You Be My Neighbor (Sold!) – Tulsa, Oklahoma

By RetroRuth

This week we have a really fun home that I believe has been sold for quite some time now. But I came across it recently and I just had to share it.

This home is located at 2846 E 38th St, Tulsa, Oklahoma. It had three and a half bathrooms and I think three bedrooms. According to Realtor.com, the home was renovated in 2016. In fact, it might have been torn down and rebuilt completely, but we are just going to pretend that didn’t happen and live in the past. It was sold in 2014 for $339,000. You can see the remaining listing on Realtor.com.  From the listing:

Unlimited potential in desirable Midtown Ranch Acres. Mid Century modern home on large corner lot. Open floor plan perfect for entertaining. Formal living with den/kitchen combo. Spacious rooms with good closet space. One of a kind 1950’s custom home.

Entryway and Living Area

Dining Area

So, what were your favorite details?  I love the irregular blue spots in the ceiling in the entryway, the high ceilings in all of the rooms and the cute built-in the dining area. I’m ready to go back to 2014 and move right in!

What a gem! The house has so many things that I like about mid century homes, and I would leave them intact for sure. And that three-sided fireplace!

This one was my most favorite. People just can’t stand vintage beauty. Thank HGTV for poisoning people’s mind and encouraging complete remodeling. this is sad.
