Won’t You Be My Neighbor (Sold!) – Cincinnati, Ohio

By RetroRuth

This week we have a little house that has some just perfect vintage tile!

This home is located at 5507 Julmar Drive, Cincinnati, Ohio. It is two bedrooms and two bathrooms and is approximately 1800 square feet. It built in 1948 and it was sold in November of 2017 for $173,116. You can see the remaining listing on Zillow here. From the listing:

Beautiful ranch style 1 floor home. Completely new kitchen and bath just completed. new windows , new electrical panel and new circuits added. Beautiful hard wood floors recently refinished. An in ground pool can either be refinished or filled in whichever the buyer prefers. Unfinished basement has full bath and walk out.

I really hope the “new” kitchen and bath are the ones in the pictures. Because if they pulled out that tile…

Look that that tile! Look at it! The kitchen is fantastic, and that fish inset in the bathroom? Love it. And I actually like the multi-colored tile shower in the basement. I wonder if the person who built this house did tilework for a living?

And the curved doorways. The Curved. Doorways.

What is your favorite part?

I love it! All that gorgeous tile and those curved doorways. I wonder why the listing says that the kitchen and bath are completely new? There is still much that looks original to me! And I wonder if the pink sink in the basement bathroom was originally in the pink bathroom?

Loved the curved walls. I would like a dishwasher in the kitchen.

OMG, look at those curved archways! Such thoughtful design. What ever happened to uniqueness and individuality in house design? So much better than the cookie cutter contractor specials they pump out like cars on an assembly line these days. Also totally digging that basement bar and floor. I want to hopscotch my way over for a pink squirrel or grasshopper.
