Won’t You Be My Neighbor – Encino, California

By RetroRuth

This week reader Nick has sent us an adorable mid-century traditional/colonial home that looks like it is in fantastic condition!

This home is located at 16820 Adlon Road in Encino, Califorina. It is four bedrooms and two and a half bedrooms and is approximately 2600 square feet. It was built in 1953 and the asking price is $1,6750,000. It is listed by Berkshire Hathaway HomeService, and you can see the listing on Redfin here. From the listing:

First time on the market! Attention all builders, investors and individual buyers. Charming, 4 bedroom, 3 bath home has great bones and has been lovingly cared for by the original family for over 45 years. Situated on a 17,000+ sq. ft. lot, the expansive, private backyard is highlighted by a sweeping lawn, sparkling pool and cabana. Located south of the boulevard in the sought after Lanai school district. Property is being sold “as is” and is a great opportunity to remodel and/or add square footage.

This house is so cute, even if it isn’t the more popular “modern” mid-century style. It is most likely this place will be torn down or extensively remodeled, but I can always hope that someone out there has been waiting for this beauty to come on the market so they can buy it and treasure it.  I love that fireplace in the center of the living area, that kitchen with the perfect flooring, and the backsplash tile of the pink bathroom. What treasures!

Oh my gosh! This house is INCREDIBLE. It has Cinderalla Ranch trim. I’d buy this in a heartbeat.
