This IS Your Granny’s Crafting! Knit and Stitch Edition

By Betty Crafter

We’re cleaning out the garage here at Casa Crafter and that means getting sidetracked by the GOBS of vintage craft magazines I have stashed away. Most recently I started flipping through Women’s Day Knit and Stitch magazine and actually found several things that are right up my alley!

I think these appliquéd pillows are perfect for springtime. I love the abstract flower and snail especially.

Look! A crewel tote bag!! Of course I heart it. Don’t you love the color scheme here?

Speaking of bags, I am also head over heels for this adorbs quilted heart purse. Maybe it’s just me, but I’d carry this thing every day.

Ok. I seriously want to make this ice cream cone girl for Little Betty. Is it not most awesome? And I’m not at all sure what is going on with her friend – what’s up with his center crease? But I kinda love him too.

And lastly, I think this knitted dress with peter pan collar is too sweet for words. Little Betty would break hearts all over town wearing this!

Isn’t it funny how things 40 years old can still be so current?

The center crease on Popsicle Boy is because he is a twin pop!
